8th.: Hannah’s Eloquent Thanks - Judgement
Hannah finished her prayer with a word of warning,
“The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces. Out of heaven, shall He thunder upon them.
The Lord shall judge the ends of the earth, and he shall give His strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.” (2nd Sam. 2:10).
Hannah remembered that those who fight against the Lord shall be defeated.
When God decides to move, everyone will hear it.
Plus, there is no place they can go to escape God
(The Lord shall judge the ends of the earth).
Those who are on God’s side shall be strengthened, and God shall lift those people up.
Let us make sure we are on God’s side.
Post Script: Sometime after this prayer, God blessed Hannah with more children (see 1st Sam. 2:21).
“And everyone that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man,
which built his house upon sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” (Matt. 7:26-27)
