6th.: Be Alert to the Lord

Another of David's prayers came as a response to reports from his enemies.

“When the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David.
And David inquired of the Lord saying, ‘Shall I go up to the Philistines? Will thou deliver them into mine hand?’
And the Lord said unto David, ‘Go up. For I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.’” (2nd Sam. 5:17a, 19).

When Israel's enemies gathered together.
David asked the Lord for advice.
And the Lord answered.
David went on to beat the Philistines (2nd Sam. 5:20).

Be alert to how God answers. If we ask him a lot of questions, and He answers all of them, great.
If He does not answer some of them, we may need to re-ask those questions.
Be not afraid to repeat any questions to the Lord. Keep in mind, the question(s) may need to be rephrased.
