3rd.: Jehoshaphat’s Prayer for Help, Part2

Jehoshaphat continued his prayer,
“And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab, and Mount Seir,
whom thou would not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land
of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not. Behold,
I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which
thou has given us to inherit. O, our God, wilt thou not judge them? For we
have not might against this great company that comes against us. Neither
know we what to do. But our eyes are upon thee.” (2nd Chr. 20:10-12).

Jehoshaphat’s presented several points:

1) The nation of Israel honored your request not to destroy the Moabites and allies.
2) They are showing ingratitude by now trying to take Israel.
3) God, please show justice, and reward the evil doer.
4) They are much stronger than us.
5) We don’t know what to do. You are the only one who can help us.

We have been taught to be self-reliant.
And there are problems that we are responsibility to solve.

On the other hand there are problems that come our way, that we can't solve.
We are to take those problems to him.
