2nd.: Praise God
The minor prophet, Micah praised God with:
“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardons iniquity, and passes
by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?
He retains not his anger forever, because he delights in mercy.
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us.
He will subdue our iniquities, and thou will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Thou will perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou has
sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.” (Micah 7:18-20).
Micah remembered God's past mercies.
And he looked forward to God turning away His anger from Israel.
God will correct Israel's wrong doings,
And will toss those wrong doings into the proverbial trash can.
In his timing, God will fulfill the promises He made to Abraham many centuries earlier.
“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion.” (Ps. 125:1)
