2nd.: Moses’ Personal Questions to God, p1
Several times, Moses asked God deep, probing, relational questions.
For example,
“See, you say unto me, ‘Bring up this people.’ And you have not let me know whom thou wilt send with me.
Yet you have said, ‘I know thee by name, and you have also found grace in my sight.’” (Exo. 33:12).
All Moses ever saw was a burning bush, or a cloudy pillar.
He never got to see to the core of God. In a round-about way, was Moses:
1. Wanting to be able to know God, by seeing His face?
2. Wanting to be able to read God’s facial expressions, or equivalent?
3. Feeling that his relationship with God was a little one sided?
God could see Moses, but Moses could not see God’s ‘body language’.
Yet, good friends are able to share deeper questions.
“Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” (Pr. 20:5)
"That I may know Him ..." (Phil 3:10a)
