29th.: Disbelief

The Jewish leaders arrested Jesus.
They interrogated him.
We see some of this interrogation below:

”Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him,
‘Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?’
And Jesus said, ‘I am. And you shall see the Son of man
sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.’

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and said, ‘What need we any further witness?
You have heard the blasphemy. What think you?’
And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.” (Mark 14:61b-64).

They did not believe Jesus’ claims that he was the Messiah.
Nor did they believe the testimony of the Jesus' supernatural works (see John 5:36).
Nor did they change their minds (repent),
when the disciples later went around claiming that they had seen Jesus after he had risen from the dead.

But what we believe does not affect the truth of what happened.
What we believe only affects how we shall respond.

We now have a choice to make.
Will we choose to believe Jesus, or not?
How will we know if are choosing to believe the truth or a lie?
What we choose to believe, will affect how we pray to God.
