28th.: Stand Still, Sun and Moon

“Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel,
and he said in the sight of the Israelites, ‘Sun stand thou still upon Gibeon, and thou Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.’
And there was no day like that before it, or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.” (Josh. 10:12).

The task of defeating the Amorites in battle was big.
As the adage goes, “Too much to do, and not enough time to do it.

So Joshua asked for God's help.
So God gave him all the time he requested.
In this case, the Lord God supernaturally stopped the sun and the moon from moving.
(Because of this supernatural help, many people, including some professing Christians,
dispute that it ever happened.)
Nevertheless, it is not unreasonable to think that a supernatural God will do supernatural things, to show that he is God.

Don’t be afraid to ask God for help.

that he may show himself strong in behalf of them whose hearts are perfect toward him."
