27th.: Rebekah’s Pregnancy
An internet search found sonogram videos of twins ‘wrestling’ in some lady’s womb.
But Isaac's wife, Rebekah, did not have access to internet, or sonograms.
Rebekah felt something strange, but she did not know what it was.
Gen. 25:22a-b records for us,
“and the children struggled together within her, and she said, ‘If it be so, why am I thus?’”
Rebekah feared that something was wrong.
Yet, she knew she could ask God (Gen 25:22c),
“And she went to inquire of the Lord.”
“And the Lord said unto her, ‘Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels, and the one people shall be stronger than the other people, and the elder shall serve the younger.’ And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold there were twins in her womb” (Gen. 25:23-24).
God’s answer reassured her.
We have the freedom to go to God with the events of everyday life.
Return to Home“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” (Ps. 34:4)
