26th.: Isaac & Rebekah, “We can’t have kids!”

God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations (Gen. 15:5).
These blessings would come through Isaac (Gen. 17:16).

No doubt, Abraham relayed this revelation to Isaac.
With time Abraham died.
Now it was only Isaac and his wife Rebekah.
Yet, Rebekah was not pregnant.
How could God's promises come to pass?
What anxieties went through Isaac and Rebekah’s minds?

Finally, “... Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren.
And the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.” (Gen. 25:21).

God intended to bring children through Isaac.
In this case, it seemed like God was waiting for Isaac to ask.

Stay in constant communication with God.
One can always ask these kind of questions, sooner, than later

“’For as a girdle cleaves to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me, the whole house if Israel, and the whole house of Judah,’ says the Lord, ‘that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a glory.” (Jer. 13:11)
