25th.: Korah’s Conspiracy: Part 2

The day after Korah sprung the conspiracy, Korah gathered all the congregation against Moses and Aaron.
When the conspirators came to the door of the tabernacle, the glory of the Lord appeared to everybody.
The Lord commanded Moses, and Aaron,

‘Separate yourselves from among this congregation that I may consume them in a moment.’

And they [Moses and Aaron] fell upon their faces, and said, ‘O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?’” (Num. 16:19-22).

God almost wiped out the Israelites. But, Moses and Aaron pleaded with the Lord to kill only the lead conspirators. The Lord accepted their request.

As a result, the Lord told Moses and Aaron to tell the congregation to move away from Korah and his co-conspirators.
When the congregation moved away from the conspirators, God opened the earth to swallow Korah, and his closest conspirators.
Furthermore, fire came out from the Lord to burn up the remaining coconspirators (Num. 16:32, 35).

Sometimes we just need to discern the source of the problem, and pray specifically to stop only the source.
