24th.: Korah’s Conspiracy: Part 1

Many love a conspiracy story.
Moses had to deal with one in Num. 16:1-40.

A man named Korah gathered about 253 others.
They accused Moses of
1. Taking too much for himself (Num. 16:3).
2. Wanting to be a prince. (Num 16:13).

They demanded:
A. Why the Israelites had to leave Egypt (Num. 16:13).
B. and Why they had not yet entered the Promised Land (Num. 16:14).

Moses answered with:
A. Offer incense to the Lord the next day (Num. 16:16-17).
The Lord would answer their demands.

Moses then complained to God,
“Respect not thou their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.” (Num. 16:15).

Moses also defended himself to the Lord, saying that he did not take the job of prophet for monetary gain, nor to gain authority.
Moses then asked the Lord to not grant the conspirators any favors.

Take our enemies' accusations to the Lord, as we ask God for help.
