23rd.: The Sacrifice of Isaac

In his next major event, God had told Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac.
This started with God calling, “Abraham” (Gen. 22:1b).
Abraham simply responded, “Behold, I.” (Gen. 22:1c).
From there, God did all the talking, and Abraham did all the listening.
Gen 22:2-19 tells us that
Abraham relayed information to his servants on a 'need to know basis'. (The servants weren't told
what exactly Abraham had to do.

Abraham’s comments to God were either not recorded, or Abraham had nothing much to say.
He just did what God told him to do. Why was Abraham silent during this time?
Heb. 11:19 tells us, “Abraham accounted that God was able to raise [Isaac] up, even from the dead, from whence also he received him in a figure.”
God had been developing Abraham’s faith so that Abraham did not need to ask any
‘what about this’ questions, when He gave His command - Abraham simply did as he was told.
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” (Ps. 37:7a)
