21st.: Praise the Lord
Many of God's attributes produce praise.
The prophet Isaiah gave some such attributes below.
God does not hold anger for long.
“I will praise thee. Though thou was angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comforts me.” (Isa. 12:1).
God many wonderful things.
“I will praise thy name, for thou has done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” (Isa. 25:1).
God's Salvation
“Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us.” (Isa. 25:9)
God's Righteous Determinations
“With my soul have I desired thee in the night. Yea, with my spirit within me, will I seek thee early.
For when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” (Isa. 26:9)
God's Peace
“Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us. For thou also has wrought all our works in us.” (Isa. 26:12)
God's dominion
“O Lord our God, other lords, beside thee have had dominion over us. But by thee only will we make mention of thy name.” (Isa. 26:13).
How God brings bounty
“Thou has increased the nation.” (Isa. 26:15a)
God's Graciousness
“O Lord, be gracious to us; we have waited for thee” (Isa. 33:2a)
It is good praise the Lord for specific things.
“I will praise thee with my whole heart.” (Ps. 138:1a)
