19th.: Psalm 54, The Ziphites, Part 3

David brimmed with joy.
God had been good to him.

"I will freely sacrifice unto thee. I will praise thy name, O Lord, for it is good.
For he has delivered me out of all trouble, and mine eye has seen his desire upon mine enemies.” (Psalm 54, last two verses)

This Psalm then closed with, “Mine eye has seen upon mine enemies.”
This phraseology reminds the author of a victor looking upon the bodies of a defeated enemy, or something of similar connotation.
David came out the victor - because God helped him.

God is that strong.

If we will put our trust in Him, and follow His lead, and instructions, to deal with the problems that we face.

“The Lord tries the righteous, but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates.
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest.
This shall be the portion of their cup.
For the righteous Lord loves righteousness,
his countenance does behold the upright.” (Ps. 11:5-7)
