19th.: Let Your Enemies be Dismayed
God gave Israel five warnings through the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 17:1-11):
1) Judah shall be sent into exile
2) Trusting Man, versus trusting God
3) The heart is deceitful above all things
4) God searches all things, to give them their just reward.

5) What happens to those who forsake the Lord.
(Jeremiah 17:1-11)
Jeremiah knew that he was not perfect, so he asked God for help,
“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed. Save me, and I shall be saved, for thou art my praise.” (Jer. 15:14)
“Behold, they say unto me, ‘Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come now.” (Jer. 15:15).
Jeremiah then brought up his faithfulness to God,
“As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee.
Neither have I desired the woeful day.
Thou knows that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
Be not a terror unto me. Thou art my hope in the day of evil.
Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded.
Let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed.
Bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.” (Jer. 15:16-18).
Jeremiah asked the Lord to
Keep him level-headed, secure, and safe, while making his enemies confused, frustrated, and destroyed.
For God did not give a spirit of fearfulness to us, but of power, and of love, and of self-control ...” (2 Tim 1:7)
