18th.: Where is Saul?

Saul, the son of Kish, sought for his dad's lost donkeys.
God used this task, to have Saul meet the prophet Samuel.
God then instructed Samuel to anoint Saul to be captain over the people of Israel (1st Sam. 9:16a-b).
Samuel further told Saul
1. God’s plans.
2. That Saul would soon see some unusual events take place (1st Sam. 9:20 – 10:16).

A few days after dismissing Saul, Samuel called the people of Israel to regather in Mizpeh.
Samuel introduced them to their new captain, Saul.
However, when Samuel would have presented Saul to the people,
Saul was missing (1st Sam. 10:17-21).
1st Sam. 10:22 then tells us,
“Therefore they inquired of the Lord further, if the man should come there.
And the Lord answered, ‘Behold, he has hid himself among the stuff.’”
When something, or someone is missing, we can ask God to help find the missing person.

Return to Home
“Where shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there. If I make my bed in hell, behold thou art there.” (Ps. 139:7b-8)
