18th.: Moses: How?

Just before the 10 plagues, God reassured Moses,

“Go in speak unto Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.” (Exo. 6:11).

Moses did not look forward to this task.
Therefore, Moses responded,
“Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me,
how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?” (Exo. 6:12).
“I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken to me?” (Exo. 6:30).

God did not rebuke Moses. Rather, God simply reemphasized,
“I have made thee a god to Pharaoh. … Speak all that I command thee.
I will harden Pharaoh’s heart. Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you.
The Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” (Exo. 7:1b, 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a).

There was no further pleading from Moses,

“And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them.” (Exo. 7:6).

It was good for Moses to repeat his concerns from his commissioning (see Exo. 3:11).
Likewise, reiterating our concerns to God, gives God the chance to reassure us that He has things under control.

“Attend unto me, and hear me. I mourn in my complaint, and make noise, because of the voice of the enemy.” (Ps. 55:2-31)
