17th.: Identify & List Your Concerns, Part 5
Moses’ last point was about self (Num. 11:15b),
7) "And let me not see my wretchedness.”
Moses knew that he was a sinner.
He did not want to see the full affect of that sin.
Moses had asked what King David had asked in several verses of Psalms 51.
"Have mercy upon me, O God", (Ps 51:1)
"For I acknowledge my transgression", (Ps. 51:3)
"Behold I was shaped in iniquity", (Ps. 51:5)
"Hide they face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities," (Ps. 51: 9).
It is good for us to remember that we have offended the Creator God, and to seek his mercy - which He gives to those who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“If thou, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” (Ps. 130:3-4).
