14th.: Abraham’s Hospitality

Over a span of many decades, the Lord appear to Abraham from time to time.
Many times, it would be years in between each visit.
At one point, the Lord brought two humanoid figures (angels in disguise?)
with him  (Gen 18:1-2a).
When Abraham saw them.

He ran to meet them…, and said, “My Lord [adonay], if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee from thy servant.” (Gen 18:2c, 3).

According to Strong’s Concordance, Adonay is the emphatic version of sovereign, and is generally only used for God.
With the word 'adonay',  Abraham showed that he recognized one of the visitors as God.
Abraham liked being around God, and wanted Him, and his company, to stay, rest, and refresh themselves.
Abraham made a strong effort to make them feel welcome (Gen 18:6-8).

When we recognize the Lord, do we try to make him feel welcomed in our lives.
