12th.: Psalm 57, Listing the Problems
In Psalm 57, David listed specific problems. For example,
“My soul is among lions,
and I lie even among them that are set on fire,
even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears, and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
They have prepared a net for my steps.
My soul is bowed down.
They have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen. Selah.” (Ps. 57:4, 6).
David’s described his enemies as:
1) Very strong (as lions)
2) Have a lot of determination (‘they are set on fire’)
3) Are slandering him (teeth are spears etc.)
4) Have prepared traps
5) Have discouraged him
6) Have prepared multiple traps (digged a pit) .
David listed his problems.
We too can list our problems, and our feelings, to the Lord.
