12th.: God Shall Help Widows and Orphans
God tells us that widows have a special place in his heart. Exo. 22:22-24,
“You shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
If you afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me,
I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot,
and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.”
It is like God will provide divine protection for a widow, and fatherless children - if they ask for it.
Going to the extreme opposite case, the prophet Isaiah mentioned a time in Israel,
when God said that He would not have mercy on the fatherless and widows,
because “everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly.: (Isaiah 9:17b.
Today is a good day to change one’s mind, asking for the Lord’s mercy, and to now include Him in one’s life.
