10th.: Ask the Lord for the Hard Judgements
A moral decision confronted Moses.
“And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian,
went out among the children of Israel, and this son of the Israelitish woman,
and a man of Israel strove together in the camp. And the Israelitish woman’s
son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. They brought him to Moses;
… and they put him in ward, that the mind of the Lord might be showed them.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying …,” (Lev. 24:10-13).
Moses asked God for a moral decision.
God had given Moses many instructions on morality, but Moses didn't want to make this decision.
Therefore, Moses took this issue to the Lord.
The Lord didn't mind.
We too can take our dilemmas to the Lord.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all liberally, and upbraids not, and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)
